Flash Flood
JULY 2001


You may have seen on local television (July 2001) caravans being wash down river in Llanuwchllyn near Bala, this was the result of a flash flood in the area. Houses were flooded, trees torn down and meadows turned into quarries as the river changed it course.
The flood also ran down the other side of the mountain causing devastation, The forestry end of the Ranges was effected as the river tore down trees and bridges.
