The Bala and District Motor Club extend a warm and hearty welcome to all competitors and spectators at this Scramble today. As you can see from the list of competitors. there are many top class riders present, which should provide a thrilling and exciting Scramble, which we hope all will enjoy.
Those of you who have been present during the previous competitions will notice that the course is practically unchanged, but the recently ploughed section of the course should prove interesting.
So far this season the club has held eight Rallies, many of which proved to be very difficult, testing the ability of both driver and navigator. There are a number of Rallies to be held again before the end of the year.
Socially the Club has held a series of Folk Dances during which a Princess was chosen. The Club Queen was chosen at the Final Dance held in Bala on 14th June, at Bodolwyn Garage which was let by kind permission of Messrs L Williams & Sons Bala.
The Club Queen, Miss Ellen Roberts of Glasfryn, will be present to officially start the Scramble, and many other Club activities which will take place during the year.This year the Club has undertaken the task of surveying the Route for the international Six-Day Trial, which will take place during October.
